To kick off our photography excursion a couple of months ago (where did the time go?), we headed out to Cedar Creek Grist Mill in southern Washington for some lovely landscape photography. Fall color, a little fog, a grist mill AND a covered bridge? Somebody pinch me! And, with all those elements, I even got to shoot with some of my favorite photography friends. It doesn’t get much better than that!
I never wanted to be run of the mill.”

Although the fall color in this area was not at peak, it was still really beautiful. We had a soft covering of fog that gave a cozy feel to the scene. In these images I had to desaturate the color (yellow and oranges) quite a bit, yet it is still very deep. You can learn a little more about my processing in the tutorial I posted regarding the Lightroom Transform panel.
