Baked Pears | still life food photography

Pear season has wrapped up here. But I managed to snag a few the other day - an assortment of baking pears and just eating pears. In fact, I probably bought a few too many. So, that put me on a mission to find an easy, tasty baked pears recipe. The one I decided on was really more of a pear crisp. Although the pears remained in halves, not slices. You'll see.I made a few modifications to the recipe for baked pears. I substituted the oats that the recipe called for with walnuts. All the other ingredients remained the same - cinnamon, butter, nutmeg. The other change I made was to baked them shorter than called for. I wish I would have baked them even shorter, as they turned very soft and lost their form. Not the best for still life food photography. But they tasted soooooo good! That's what counts, right?
