How I View... Broad Light | northern California portrait photographer

Last month in our blog circle, we presented images using short light where the light falls on the face farthest from the camera.  This month we are posting images using broad light which is basically the opposite.  Broad light is when the light source falls mainly on the side of the face closest to the camera.  This type of lighting adds dimension to the subject. It can also help to create a more dramatic mood within the image. Here are a few of my images demonstrating the use of this type of lighting.
