Fill and Extend the Canvas
Like many new photographers who start out, I was crazy for taking pictures. I felt that a good photographer really shouldn't need to do any editing. But, I have since learned (some time ago) that this is not the case! 'Putting on the polish' is a very important and necessary step in photography especially if you shoot in RAW.So 'putting on the polish' can be as simple as converting the RAW to a TIFF, JPEG, or other format. Or, it can be as complicated as joining numerous images together, applying luminosity masks, and a host of other things. But today, I want to show you how to fill in the canvas and how to extend the canvas which I use quite often. Both of these are completed in Photoshop. Don't worry, it's really quite easy. Let me show you how.
