Found Still Life | Shaky Barn Farm Gardens
While attending a lifestyle still life photography workshop led by Kate Bragg and Allison Jacobs last month in Maine, we were treated to a morning of exploration at the local flower farm, Shaky Barn Farm Gardens. Found still life opportunities met us at every turn.After stepping out of the car, I was instantly in awe of the gorgeous grounds kept up entirely by the owner, Bonnie. I thought for certain that she had a staff of several, if not many, to help her with the several acres of gardens. So, I gasped to find out that she is the only person who tends the grounds. The sights, smells, and sounds were all refreshing. But, that gorgeous, gentle morning light was what really captivated the essence of these beautiful grounds. The light, the grounds, and Bonnie herself embraced us all with a warm welcome. I'm so glad we were able to visit the beautiful landscape there while discovering those still life treasures.I captured so many found still life scenes while roaming in Bonnie's gardens. Here are just a few.
