Hometown Part 2 {northern California photographer}

There is just something about growing up in a small town or rural community where most everyone knows each other. While driving along the country roads, meeting another car, we always waved because chances are it was someone we knew.  Or, honking the car horn when passing by a friend's house as a way to say "Hello, I'm thinking of you." Of course, if someone honked by our home, we ran to the window to see who it was. After all, we did know the color and make of everyone's vehicle. Little things I took for granted as a kid, not knowing that it was different elsewhere.Here's Hometown Part 2, the second post I did about my hometown originally published in June 2013.

The 'town' in which I grew up is really sort of a network of several adjacent communities.  I've decided that each time I come to visit (for awhile, anyway) that I'll focus on each of these areas and photograph not the most recognizable, but what I find to be interesting in some way.  This post is more of the area around my parents' home.  I love to photograph early in the morning  as the sun is coming up.  There are fewer cars then and the light is gorgeous.  But, if you happen to be up too and see my car pulled off to the side of the road, give me a wave.  Or, better yet, stop and say 'Hello'.
