Enjoying life's simple pleasures has been a goal of mine more so recently. I mean, I try to appreciate even the most simple elements of my everyday. Friends. Family. Environment. Heath. The Danish have a term for this appreciation of the simple things, the coziness of life - hygge. (Pronounced HUE-gah) Contentment. Well-being. Comfort.On a little escape recently, I appreciated the delightful basket breakfast we were given as part of our visit. Naturally, I documented the contents and a few details of the room in which we stayed. The soothing colors of the room, the yummy contents of the basket where no detail was missed, and general peace and comfort of the inn all blended together to create a most comfortable experience.I hope you are able to recognize and enjoy an abundance of hygge in your day.
