Morro Bay Night | northern California landscape photographer

There was an idea. Discussions. Location considerations and much more. The new moon happens monthly and we wanted to get our shots of the Milky Way. So we schemed, and we made a plan. We would make it a Morro Bay night to shoot the stars. We had planned for me to spend a few days with a friend along the central coast of California. With that plan was the intention to photograph the Milky Way. The first night I was there, we were both in the mood to stay in and the weather was a bit misty making it less than idea. The second night, the stars were out. The sky was clear. Perfect!  Except we were both not at all motivated. So, the third night arrived and we decided, this was IT! We are going! Despite a bit of fog and the clouds rolling around, we went to Morro Bay.As we were setting up our tripods, we knew there was little hope of capturing the Milky Way. Fog. Clouds. Lights in the parking lot. The odds of getting anything at all were slim. But, we persisted! And, I'm so glad we did!
