Viewpoints: My Mount Shasta View

My Viewpoints location this month is Mount Shasta in northern California. Sought out by climbers and the foundation of legends, Mount Shasta draws thousands of visitors, poets, scientists, and naturalists every year.  She's an active volcano erupting every 600 years or so. You can learn more on Wikipedia.

Although I appreciate viewing Mount Shasta from afar such as the views of these images, crunching through the snow on the side of this mountain with our family a few years ago is a special memory I'll not forget. Everyone was excited to put their snowboards to the test, feeling that somehow this mountain was different from the others. I encourage you to get out there in nature and make some memories!
