Parsley | Gone to Seed

The Italian parsley in our garden has gone to seed. Not on purpose necessarily, but I just couldn’t keep up with six thriving plants! So, what better use than to make it a still life subject?I added some of these garlic ends and some purple delphiniums from the farmers’ market. I really like the combination of the strong purple with the yellow-green. I’ve been trying to work more with high key. But ultimately, I went back to dark and moody. It’s the same lighting direction and location, but pulled down a bit to accommodate a moody feel. I just switched out the base and the background. I also removed the cheesecloth from the setup.
