Photographers' Playground on the Trail of Ten Falls
When the month of October arrived, photographing autumn color was on my mind. Let's face it. There are dozens of locations near and far that display some beautiful fall color. This year I had the opportunity to meetup with two photographer friends who showed me around a complete photographers' playground on the Trail of Ten Falls. Autumn color and waterfalls. Could there be a better combination?
Fall Color and Falls
We met up in the morning in the midst of glorious fog, walked along the trail, and set up for some amazing photography. We meandered along the trail finding plenty of fall color and waterfalls to photograph. One of the things I loved about this area was the ability to shoot the waterfalls from behind. Some of the trails had been created to lead up to the waterfall, walk behind them, and continue on the other side. After a full day of shooting, my friends were on their way but not before offering some guidance to me for shooting the following day in order to capture a few more of the falls. I think I managed to get nine out of ten... so, you know that requires that I go back!

One of my favorite photographer sayings is 'Just go shoot.' This was a bit of a spur of the moment trip to just go shoot some autumn color and it turned out quite nicely! So, get out there and soak up some nature. Take only pictures, leave only footprints.
