Project 365, Weeks 13, 14, & 15

Project 365, Weeks 13, 14, and 15 are combined in this post while I play ‘Catch-Up’ for posting this photography project. Week 13 was spent mostly at home with some time in the Northern California mountains for the Waterfalls Workshop that was presented in March. You can find out more about it in this blog post Waterfalls Workshop. Fortunately, the flowers are beginning to bloom in my garden so I have subjects readily available for some macro work.

Week 14 included a camping trip to the beach, lots of babies being born on the ranch, a wonderful variety of macro subjects, and a visit to the botanical gardens at UC Berkeley with other women from the Northern California Women Photographers Group. You might consider joining our group if you are female, live in Northern California, love to take pictures and/or want to be inspired, and might enjoy meeting up with other members.

And, now for Week 15. I had so many macro opportunities along with some serious visits by the MANY hummingbirds. Each time I use that Canon 100L Macro lens, I fall in love with it all over again. Who can blame me?! Just look at that beautiful detail and lovely bokeh. I also went with friends to a somewhat local lake to observe and photograph the Mute Swans in their mating ritual. You can read and see more about this in my blog post Love at the Lake.
