When I have the opportunity to visit Yosemite NP, I always take it even if it is in June. Summertime is an incredibly popular time to visit the park. It gets 'crazy crowded'! But many people want to see the waterfalls at their fullest. Who can blame them? They are truly stunning. After all the heavy rain that California received last winter, the falls are truly spectacular. But getting close enough without getting your camera lens covered in mist is nearly impossible.On my first evening there, I photographed Yosemite Falls from a substantial distance. There were several other photographers in the same location which was completely expected. Many were hoping to capture the popular 'moonbow' also known as a lunar rainbow. A moonbow can be created against the mist of the falls by a full or nearly full moon. Conditions must be just right. No moonbow for me that night, but an incredible view none-the-less.Have you had the opportunity to visit Yosemite? Please share your favorite location in the park in the comments below.
