When my friend, Theresa of Theresa Ratermann Photography, asked if I'd like to join her in Davis for an arboretum stroll and chat, I jumped at the chance. I had met her a couple of years ago on an airplane. Yup! We were both heading home from attending the same photographers' conference. We hadn't met at the conference. But as fate would have it, we sat next to one another on the plane home. We struck up a conversation and it was as if we'd been friends for years.Walking around the arboretum, there is plenty to photograph. I enjoy watching Theresa find the light. And, I'm always amazed. We can be completely engaged in conversation. But she will zone right in to capture a flower or leaf or even a duck if the light is right. Of course, it always is or she wouldn't have taken the shot. It's such a pleasure to walk, talk, and shoot with Theresa! I'm very grateful for that shared flight home!Have you ever experienced meeting someone seemingly by accident? Yet, it was just meant to be.
