While staying in Florida, a group of us got up early to catch the sunrise at the Fernandina Pier. It was quite foggy at the hotel and several people decided that it would probably be too foggy at the pier a few miles away. Of course, I went anyway. But, you just never know what the weather will do, nor what it will be like in another area. Fog is particularly unpredictable. This morning's weather could have really gone either way. Fortunately for us, it was spectacular!

The three great elemental sounds in nature are the sound of rain, the sound of wind in a primeval wood, and the sound of outer ocean on a beach.
