Cookie Stamp Cookies | northern California Still Life Photographer

After reading Kate Bragg's blog post on making sugar cookies using Nordic Ware cookie stamps, I knew I had to give cookie stamp cookies a try. With a quick search in our local kitchen store, I came up empty. Amazon to the rescue! The waiting was agony because, you know, I wanted to make them immediately. And photograph them as well. But, they finally arrived and I was set to complete Kate's recipe AND the peanut butter cookies recipe that was on the side of the box as well.

"Think what a better world it would be if we all, the whole world, had cookies and milk about three o'clock every afternoon and then lay down on our blankets for a nap."

Cookie Stamp Cookies

Kate gave so many wonderful tips for making these cookies to ensure success.  I was so worried that they would stick to the stamp or press. But, following her advice, I had no trouble at all. Cookie Stamp Cookies on baking sheet by Nadeen Flynn, northern California

Because the sugar cookie flavor is so mild, they were quite yummy with a sliced pear and cup of tea.  I wonder if I could manage a sweet snack like this every day.  Hmmm...

Although they were absolutely delicious, I decided to add a little bit of pizzazz to these. What better than a little drizzle of chocolate?

I'd love to hear from you if you give these stamps a try. Be sure to check out Kate's post for her recipe and tips.

Happy Baking!
