Lemon Poundcake

While looking through a kitchen cupboard for something else, I rediscovered my lemon poundcake baking dish. I swear we are still trying to get the kitchen sorted out after unpacking last summer. Neither of us seem to put things back in the same place when we unload the dishwasher. So, it's often an adventure searching for something. When I came across the baking dish, I immediately rescued it from the back of the top shelf to put it to good use. Now, as I've mentioned before, my images are not about perfect food. And, this is no exception.  But, tasty?  Yes! Yes, indeed!

Lemon Poundcake

For those of you who love black and white photographs, I decided to convert the preparation images. I'd love to know your thoughts. Can you see the beaters moving in the bottom left image?

As you can probably see in some of these, there are cracks in the top of the cake. Truth be told, it stuck in the pan so I tried to salvage it with frosting!  Of course, it just added a little more sweetness to this already yummy cake.  If these pictures only had smell, I know you'd be craving some for yourself!
