Daily Shooting in July 2020 for my 366 Project

Daily shooting in July 2020 offered time to explore new-to-me techniques in photography. When I first picked up a camera several years ago, I shot daily in order to learn as much as I could. After a few years, I gave up the formal 365 project. Over time, I realized I was picking up my camera for my own enjoyment less and less. When business shoots seemed to take over, there was less time for my personal shooting. It felt good last January to pick up the practice of shooting everyday just-for-me once again.

Shooting at Home

Then Covid-19 struck and sheltering at home became a reality which meant that my travel plans for the year came to a halt. Cancelled. As a nature/landscape photographer, I was very disappointed. At first I thought I'd just let the project go because how would I ever be able to find things here at home every single day? But, new opportunities presented themselves in the form of learning new things. Fun and engaging things. So the project continues.

Learning New Things

Daily shooting in July included birds, flowers, still life, food, and a little work with abstract photography.  Here is what July 2020 looked like at home (or close to home) for me each day while I photographed mostly in my backyard with a few garden flowers and a very quick socially distant trip to the coast.
