101 Front-runners of 2017 | Northern California fine art photographer

As an individual pursuing a creative outlet, sometimes we are disappointed that we are not progressing with our craft as we hoped. Last year was that for me. As I mentioned  few weeks ago, I decided I would look at my catalogue to see if I could find any images I really loved. It just felt like photographically, 2017 was not my best year. So I began going through the 12,000 images that remain on my hard drive for the past year. And surprisingly I came up with quite a few more than 100 front-runners of 2017. These are images that evoke a memory, a successful challenge photographically, or for some reason they just speak to my heart. They are mostly landscapes, but not all. There is no client work included. The year felt a little off balance. I just couldn't find my 'groove' in the winter. Then spring came along and I had a most successful trip to Oregon. But during summer I started a photography project for an author of an heirloom flower book. THAT totally got me off track with my own projects and shooting. Fall arrived full of photography opportunities and they were fantastic!!! I still have so much editing to do. So I guess you could say these are my favorites from those I've edited! In no particular order, and with various reasons for making my list, here is my slideshow of 101 front-runners of 2017.

This is my last 'front-runner' of the year taken in Yosemite National Park while meeting up with incredible photographer and friend Karthika Gupta for her Travel Photography Demystified class for which she asked me to be a guest photographer.  So honored!  Karthika's FREE course is a 'stand alone'.
