My gardens still managed to show off this summer!

Last winter and spring, I prepared my vegetable and flower garden plots for the upcoming growing season. Nothing too big nor fancy, but just the right size to enjoy. With all plans I still just never know what the end result may look like. As well intentioned as I am about caring for my gardens, they sometimes end up being neglected. Fortunately, a bit of neglect doesn’t seem to stop them from producing the fresh vegetables that we enjoy at mealtime nor beautiful photo-worthy flowers that grace my yard and vases. Nature can be very forgiving on so many levels. Thankfully, she was very generous with the abundant vegetables and flowers from my gardens this season.

It’s always a little sad tearing out what is left of the gardens once the growing season is over. But, it’s that time of year and means I’m just that much closer to planning and planting again.

And a few vegetables. Mother Nature still came through with some beautiful subjects to photograph!
