Oregon Coast

As I was planning my trip to the Olympic peninsula of Washington, I decided to take the Oregon coast route. It was completely out of my way, but I'd been wanting to get back to Bandon and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. As I made my way to the coastline, I got more excited and yet calmer at the same time. Like many of you, I am drawn to the ocean. Once I arrived and checked in, it was time to go visit all the familiar places and discover new ones. The weather was overcast and drizzly, but that didn't stop me from taking my camera out to explore.

Bandon Fish Market

How had I not seen this incredible mural before? It's on the backside of the building facing a parking lot. I usually park on the street.Fish-Market-Bandon

Wharf Area

Just across from this yellow boat in the marina is the fence decorated with artwork from the local children. The pieces are part of a fundraiser and available for purchase at some point. I have no idea how they protected them in order to withstand the weather, but each piece looked just fine.Bandon-marina

Sandy Creek Covered Bridge

This covered bridge is not exactly on the Oregon coast, but it was along my route. Of course, I had to pull over to photograph it.Oregon covered bridge Sandy Creek
