Perspective Week 5 | northern California photographer

My Perspective Week 5 includes still life, landscapes and documentation of a few other things that appealed to me this week.  Again, I worked on still life.  I'm trying to do more food photography which has it's own unique guidelines and challenges. So this week it was garlic, plain and simple. I'll be working with garlic again to get the image I have in my head documented. Then I resorted to tulips since they continue to be a favorite. Signs of spring are beginning to appear with the wild mustard along the road and the blossoms on the fruit trees beginning to pop open. In the lower left image, I couldn't resist how the shallow depth of field highlighted the edge of the tulip petal. Finally, I took a little field trip to visit the Tahoe area. I didn't expect the lake to be shrouded in fog, but the effect was really pretty.
