Range Mask Tool | Lightroom Tutorial | Sacramento photographer

Welcome to the next in the series of Lightroom tutorials. You will learn to use different areas of the Develop module in these tutorials. Today the topic will show you how to use the Range Mask Tool with the Radial Filter to select just the area you want to edit. This is a new feature in Lightroom Classic. At first I didn't really see the significance of this tool. However, I wasn't really using it quite right. So, the use of the sliders was not evident to me. But, by playing with this feature, I discovered just how powerful it can be.Of course, getting the image well exposed and correct in camera is our first goal. I shoot manual so that I can have complete control over my image. But, that is not to say that you cannot get a strong image using Aperture Priority or a different mode. Correct exposure and sharp focus are things that are difficult to correct after the image is taken.  I also shoot in RAW so this gives me more options when editing. Just be sure you get it right in camera first. If you use this feature after watching the tutorial, please let me know how it goes.  And, feel free to ask any questions as well at:  nadeen@nadeenflynn.com or in the comments below.
