The Washington DC Memorials all lit up at night was inspiring. As beautiful and memorable as they are during the daylight, at night they became almost magical. In the first triad, on the left is the Washington monument with the Capitol building just to the right. Both are reflected in the pond. I was standing at the Lincoln Memorial when taking it. The center image is the Lincoln Memorial and the third, a close up of Lincoln. It is three miles from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol with the Washington Monument in between. No wonder our feet were tired by the end of the day!

Washington DC Memorials at Night

It was much later at night when I took these. Jefferson Memorial at night Washington DC Memorials These were all hand-held which meant I had to really up my ISO. And, with the varying lighting, the white balance was a little crazy, too! I did lots of adjusting in post-processing to try to bring them into a cohesive set.
