Oxbow Bend | September 2017 | northern California landscape photographer
From blue hour through sunrise and into the morning glow, Oxbow Bend put on quite a show for us. During Magic in the Tetons, a women's workshop retreat, presented by landscape photographer Kristen Ryan, we covered a lot of ground in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. One of my favorite locations was Oxbow Bend. To be sure, it's a popular, iconic (crowded) location in the Grand Tetons National Park. With good reason.

Tulips, in Fields, Gardens or Vases

Flower Treasures for still life photography
Although I enjoy gardening, my flower garden is a learning process. I intended to grow flowers so that I could have a never ending supply of fresh bouquets. That hasn't really happened, but I can find many flower treasures among the weeds and dirt.

Photographing Glacier Bay National Park
Last summer I embraced an adventure unlike any other I’d ever been on. I boarded a small (10 people total) vintage boat, the DavidB built in 1929, to explore Glacier Bay, Alaska. It was a photographer’s trip/workshop with a knowledgeable photographer leading the workshop who offered suggestions for photographing Glacier Bay National Park and in-depth editing techniques.
