Flower Treasures for still life photography
Although I enjoy gardening, my flower garden is a learning process. I intended to grow flowers so that I could have a never ending supply of fresh bouquets. That hasn't really happened, but I can find many flower treasures among the weeds and dirt.
Flowers in my Garden
This year I planted some tall bachelor buttons, sweet peas, zinnias, cosmos and a variety of other flowers that have not yet bloomed. There are a few returning blooms, too, like alstroemerias, lavender, yarrow - the perennials.
Flower Challenge
I was feeling a bit discouraged the other day while watering. It just didn't seem like there were many blossoms as I had expected for this time of year. So I challenged myself to find some flower treasures and make a small bouquet. One of my favorite new fillers is the oregano from the herb garden that has gone to seed. I'm pretty happy with my little pot of blossoms!
