Wildflowers in Mount Rainier NP | Northern California fine art photography

A few years ago, I joined my friend in Mount Rainier National Park to reconnect with nature and photograph all the beautiful scenery that the park has to offer. But, we especially wanted to photograph the wildflowers. The season for wildflowers in Mount Rainier National Park typically begins in mid-July and extends through August, providing ample time to witness nature's incredible spectacle. The best locations to view wildflowers include Paradise, Sunrise, and the subalpine meadows.

Jenny knows the park well, so she led us to all the best locations for wildflowers. Since we went in August, it was a golden opportunity to explore the picturesque landscape brimming with the unique blossoms.

Hey, little guy! What are you doing here? This sweet little sandpiper just seemed to be hanging around and exploring too.

It wasn’t all about wildflowers! We did a lot of exploring in many different areas of the park.

My attire happened to be color coordinated with the environment!

We set up in the parking lot to watch the Milky Way rise, photograph it, and to watch the lights of the climbers as they ascended the mountain.

Make it a wonderful day, and get out there to enjoy our beautiful world!
