Bokeh After the Rain | northern California Fine Art Photographer
Achieving an out of focus background with those wonderful little circles of light is an often sought after effect for many photographers. Count me as one of them. While taking a morning drive looking for my subject, I stopped along the side of the road to capture the raindrops clinging to the mustard weed creating bokeh after the rain.
Oxbow Bend | September 2017 | northern California landscape photographer
From blue hour through sunrise and into the morning glow, Oxbow Bend put on quite a show for us. During Magic in the Tetons, a women's workshop retreat, presented by landscape photographer Kristen Ryan, we covered a lot of ground in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. One of my favorite locations was Oxbow Bend. To be sure, it's a popular, iconic (crowded) location in the Grand Tetons National Park. With good reason.
Lilac Blooms | northern California photographer
If it's April in northern California, it is the season for lilacs. Their old fashioned charm and delicate blooms are eye-catching. And their fragrance! Oh, I wish you could smell these photos. Although I don't have any lilacs growing in my yard for now, I'm hoping that will change soon.
White Faced Ibis | Local Waterfowl
With the changing seasons, birds are migrating through the Pacific Flyway here in Northern California. There are some waterfowl who hang around all year and feed in the flooded rice fields. Once such species is the white faced ibis.
