There's something mesmerizing about a waterfall. They are loud. They rarely stop. Many are often surrounded by the beauty and seclusion of a forest. Today I'm sharing a few images for 'Waterfall Wednesday'. These were taken on the East Fork of the Coquille River in Coos County, Oregon.

We had a beautiful drive to this location on some narrow, rough country roads. But the surrounding landscape was engaging with the diversity of wild growth and farmland, old barns and houses, grazing cattle and horses. A few dogs ran out to bark at us and show us who was in charge.

When we reached our destination, the only problem we had was where to begin photographing this lovely area. Although I took photos of the large fall we first came to, I walked up the road a bit and found this inspiring sight. Nature is astounding.

As long as I live, I'll hear waterfalls and birds and winds sing. I'll interpret the rocks, learn the language of flood, storm, and the avalanche. I'll acquaint myself with the glaciers and wild gardens, and get as near the heart of the world as I can.
