Capturing November: A Look Back at November
I know what you’re thinking. “She skipped October”. Yes, I have. October’s images will be coming soon. But, it’s going to take more than one blog post, and I’m not quite up for that yet.
It took me awhile to pick up my camera again in November after my October trip, so the resulting images are fewer than most months. I took a few photos near my home, mostly of the water fowl that migrate through our area this time of year. The wildlife area of Llano Seco was also a site in which I captured a few photos of the migrating birds.
Photography has a way of anchoring time, giving us something to return to long after the feeling has passed. Looking at these images now, I’m reminded of how important it is to slow down and notice everything in my surroundings. To capture, not just what we see, but what we feel, and to appreciate all that is around us.

During March it was definitely more difficult to keep up my daily shooting/editing practice, but I’m very close! Spring continues to make her entrance and the days are beginning to get warm in comparison to just a month or two ago.
After reviewing my 2024, I realized that I really only picked up my camera when I was traveling. So, I decided to commit loosely to a daily shooting practice.
Ah, the joys of embarking on a daily photography project! In January 2025, I decided to challenge myself to capture a unique photo every single day. After reviewing my 2024, I realized that I really only picked up my camera when I was traveling.
From time to time, I like to take a look back at my photography. It helps me see growth and also areas that need improvement. Recently, I did a screening of my work looking for the best of the best technically. That prompted sharing this blog post. Enjoy!
Daily shooting in August 2020 offered time to explore so many different genres in photography. When I first picked up a camera several years ago, I shot daily in order to learn as much as I could.
