Photography Subjects Abound at Point Reyes National Seashore!

If you’ve ever been to Point Reyes National Seashore, you know it’s so much more than the beach or the lighthouse, or the cypress tree tunnel. I'm fortunate to be able to visit there fairly often (although not as often as I’d like). The last few times I’ve been there I’ve been more focussed on wildlife. Regardless, photography subjects abound at Point Reyes National Seashore!

Wildlife as Photography Subjects

On this particular trip, I arrived on a very sunny, windy afternoon! As I was driving around, I saw one of MANY quail sitting on a fencepost. The wind was so strong, I was surprised it stayed where it was. I loved how the weeds were blurred because of their movement.

Not surprisingly, the following morning the whole area was covered in light fog. At the coast, it’s to be expected.

A trip here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the beach. The waves were amazing, putting on quite a show while the gulls flew about occasionally landing on the water.

The fog burned off and the sun came shining through revealing so many animals. My favorite is the little coyote howling, learning to be coyote.
