Nordic Stamp Cookies | Northern California Photography
After reading a post on making sugar cookies using Nordic Ware cookie stamps, I knew I had to give cookie press cookies a try. With a quick search in our local kitchen store, I came up empty. Amazon to the rescue! The waiting was agony because, you know, I wanted to make them immediately. And photograph them as well. But, they finally arrived and I was set to complete the sugar cookies recipe AND the peanut butter cookies recipe that was on the side of the box as well.
I was concerned that the dough would stick to the stamps. But by following the instructions on the box carefully, I had no issues with the dough sticking.
The Nordic Cookie Stamps come in a variety of designs, and they’re really quite easy to make. The designs alone make the cookies tantalizing. But, you can add all sorts of decorations, a dusting of powdered sugar, a drizzle of chocolate or caramel - whatever appeals to you. The flavor is so mild that they accompany a cup of tea or coffee just fine!
Because the sugar cookie flavor is so mild, they were quite yummy with a sliced pear and cup of tea. I wonder if I could manage a sweet snack like this every day. Hmmm...
Whether you're a seasoned baker or a newcomer to the kitchen, Nordic cookie stamps offer a charming way to infuse your holiday baking with Scandinavian flair. From snowflakes to reindeer and everything in between, these stamps offer a wide array of motifs that capture the essence of Nordic culture. The beautiful designs not only make your cookies visually appealing but also add a touch of whimsy to your holiday treats. Whether you prefer traditional patterns like snowflakes and stars or more whimsical motifs like elves and reindeer, selecting a design that resonates with you will make your baking experience all the more enjoyable.
Nordic Stamp Cookies - NOT just for the holidays!
I'd love to hear from you if you give these Nordic cookie stamps a try.

A few years ago I decided to tackle the art of sourdough bread. I mixed up the 'starter' and fed it regularly until it was ready to be included in a recipe.
It's that time of year when our days are filled with gifts and goodwill, cards and holiday activities, cookies and holiday trees. I try not to bake too many sweets on a regular basis. But during the holiday season, all bets are off!
I wonder how making cookies for the holidays became such a strong tradition? Certainly, enjoying sweets with our family has been around for a long time. But, now it seems that we gift our baked goods to one another or even participate in cookie exchanges.
Daily shooting in December 2020 has come to an end and with that, the end to this 366 project. All in all, it's been fairly easy, but I don't plan to do another one in 2021.
Pear season has wrapped up here. But I managed to snag a few the other day - an assortment of baking pears and just eating pears. In fact, I probably bought a few too many.
The Tuesday morning Farmers' Market is always buzzing with activity. I try to make it a destination each week to browse the booths and find the treasures that will go home with me.
A little over a month ago I decided to tackle the art of sourdough bread. I mixed up the 'starter' and fed it regularly until it was ready to be included in a recipe. So far I've managed to make four loaves.
One of the treasures I hold dear is a handwritten cookbook of my grandmother's. Because she has been gone for over twenty years, it is even more special. It is faded, stained, and falling apart. But between those frayed covers there is a gold mine of memories of holidays and family suppers and moments shared.
